I make handmade knives from high carbon steel — bold, durable blades with soul. Each knife is forged, ground, and finished by hand to bring out the best in the steel: sharpness, edge retention, and a character that only time and use can deepen.
What I offer
High-carbon steel blades (1095, 1080, or similar) chosen for toughness and ease of resharpening.
Full-tang construction or custom tang profiles for strength and balance.
Hand-shaped handles in wood, micarta, stabilized wood, or leather-wrapped options.
Heat treatment tailored for each blade to optimize hardness and toughness.
Custom finishes: satin, stonewashed, acid-etched, or hand-polished.
Optional engraving, maker’s marks, and personalized stamps.
Why high carbon?
Excellent edge-holding and ease of sharpening.
More responsive and tuneable heat treatment than stainless options.
Takes a patina over time that protects the blade and tells its story.
Care notes
Keep the blade dry and wipe after use to prevent rust.
Apply a light coat of oil for longer-term storage.
Re-sharpen with stones or a guided system; high carbon takes a keen, crisp edge.
Avoid acidic foods or prolonged exposure to moisture when possible.
Ordering & customization
Standard sizes and profiles available: chef’s, utility, paring, bushcraft, and fixed-blade camp knives.
Fully custom commissions welcome: choose blade length, grind, handle material, finish, and sheath options.
Lead times vary by project scope; bespoke pieces often require several weeks.
Pricing depends on materials and complexity—contact me with your ideal specs and budget, and I’ll send an estimate.
